Camp Overview
Come spend five days training on the Hawaii Ironman World Championship course in beautiful Kona, while attending training, racing and nutrition seminars designed around a small group of no more than 12 athletes with special attention from Coach Ahmed. The camp is an excellent opportunity for triathletes who want to build a strong base for the 2009 season and get personal attention while doing so.  This camp is designed for the athlete committed to serious training and serious education.

The Platinum Hawaii Camp will be similar to the regular Hawaii camp, but more personalized to the specific needs of those who sign up for the camp.  Participants will spend more one on one time with Coach Ahmed.  We will work on specific personal training and racing nutrition as well as review individual feedback on Heart Rate and Power data. Athletes must have attended a previous Playtri camp or have a background in nutrition and heart rate/power training to attend the Platinum Camp.

Camp Schedule
We will swim, bike, run and have lectures every day.  The schedule will be determined based on the overall needs of our small group of campers.  The lectures will also be based on the needs of the campers and will be designed around training/racing nutrition, power and heart rate training, etc.  Coach Ahmed will spend individual time with each athlete on the swim, bike and run as well as review power and heart rate files from each days workouts.

Athletes will be sent a questionnaire and based on the questionnaire, the schedule will be designed around the campers needs.

Camp Support
Support and sag will be provided on the swim, bike and run courses.

Registered on or before July 1st:  $1,699
Registered on or before October 1st:  $1,799
Registered on or before December 1st:  $1,899
Registered on or before January 1st:  $1,999
After January 1st:  $2,299

Travel Information
You will need to arrive at the Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) by Sunday night.  The airlines that service the Kona airport are American, United, Aloha and Hawaiian.
The hotels on Alii drive are about a 10 mile cab ride and the restaurants, grocery store and shops, etc. are within a two mile walking distance.  Car rental is a personal option that participants are responsible for.        

USAT Membership
This camp will be USAT sanctioned and therefore a USAT membership will be required. 
Each participant will be required to show current USAT annual membership or purchase a one day membership ($10) at the athlete check in on January 20th.

Registration/Confirmation - The 2009 Platinum Hawaii camp is limited to 10 participants. Registration can be done via check and registration form on www.playtri.com or online at www.active.com. Once registered, you will receive notification from camp coordinator regarding travel, etc.
