Free Weekly Workouts

Playtri's weekly workouts are designed to give people around the DFW area the opportunity to train together in a fun and challenging atmosphere.  Our coaches are here to help you enjoy training while gaining insightful knowledge of swimming, biking and running for triathlon.  Our coaches are USAT and Playtri Certified and will guide and direct your effort at free weekly workouts.

NIGHT GROUP BRICK WORKOUT

WHAT: Bike to Run

WHEN: Every Tuesday

TIME: 6pm-8pm

PLEASE BRING: Bike, Bike Shoes, Garmin, Water, Nutrition, Running Shoes, Visor or Hat, & SMILES!

WHAT TO EXPECT: Every week we build on our previous workouts. But expect a combination of hills and speed both on the bike and run.

WHAT: 75-90min Run

WHEN: Every Thursday

TIME: 5:30am-6:45/7am

Tuesday

6pm-7pm Strength - functional strength for posture, swimming, biking and running.

WEDNESDAY

6pm-7pm Run Drills and speed work.

Thursday

6pm-7pm Bike - PowerTri

Saturday

6:00 am - Race Pace (18-21 mph) - 25 mile ride.

7:30 am - Social ride (14-17mph and 18-20mph) no drop 25 miler

 

THE COLONY/PLANO

SaturDAY

Open Water Swim clinic followed by a bike ride. Show up early to sign in and get ready then we hit the water at 7:30am. All skill levels welcome. We will split up into groups based on skill level. Fully supported by our coaches and lifeguards. Then we'll head back to the shop for the bike portion to start at 9am. Multiple groups with everything from slow to fast. 10mile, 20 mile, 40 mile and 60 mile groups.

  WEDNESDAY

The Windhaven Ride is a "sprinty" drop ride with regroups. The ride is on a 10 mile loop with 4 go zones and every hill is an attack. Regroups are about 5-6 per lap. Every lap ends at the top of Windhaven Hill.  We ride until dark.  Typically 3 laps for a 30 mile ride.

The ride leaves at 6:00pm on Wednesdays from Playtri in Austin Ranch during daylight times.

6:00-7:00pm Group Bike (alternates one week hills/one week speed work)

WEDNESDAY

6:00-7:00pm Drills, pacing, and endurance based runs

Saturday

7:00am Indoor Trainer Ride

7:30-9:00am 20 Mile No Drop and 25-30 Mile B Rides (we move inside if weather is bad - check Facebook for updates!)

 

ROCKWALL CYCLING

SATURDAY:

START LOCATION FOR ROAD RIDES: Unless noted otherwise, road rides leave from the Store. Meet in the Rockwall Crossing parking lot in front of the store. Everyone will roll out together, around halfway out the faster group will ramp up the pace and let everyone settle into their pace group. The fast group will do between 33 and 60 miles depending on what they want to do. The Fitness group will regroup at the turn around and ride back in together. There are ride leaders depending upon your pace (19-20mph and 16-17mph).

7:30am Race Pace Ride 19-21mph

7:30am Fitness Ride 16-18mph
