The Playtri Festival F1 races are for race ages 12-16 (no exceptions), and are limited to 50 male and 50 female participants. Races follow USA Triathlon youth and junior elite draft-legal rules (see www.draftlegalrules.com for details), though officials are more likely to extend warnings than penalties and DQ's when they see a breach of protocol. It will ultimately be the decision of the head official whether or not to enforce the lap-out rule due to safety reasons, but athletes (and coaches) should come prepared to abide by this rule.

This is a unique opportunity for teams in the South Midwest Region to race against other competitive athletes in the draft-legal format at a USAT sanctioned event. We hope to see representatives from all of our regional development teams and programs on the race course this June!

Bike is on clean urban roads.

The run course will have mile markers at every mile. It has some false flats, but overall the course is fairly flat. Aid stations will be located approximately every .75 mile. Each aid station is equipped with bottled water and Gatorade.
