Directions: I-75 to McKinney. Exit Virginia Parkway. Go WEST on Virginia Parkway for approximately 5 miles. The beach and tennis club will be on the left.

7 – 10 yrs old: 100 meter swim in the beach pool – 3 mile bike – 0.5mi run
11-14 yrs old: 200 meter swim in the beach pool – 6 mile bike (2 loops) – 1mi run
Transition will be open from 6:30am – 8:00am.
Course Notes: The swim is in beach/pool area with lifeguards on duty (not in the lake where the adults swim on Sunday).
The bike is on nice concrete urban path. The course is slightly hilly, but fun!
The run course is on grass for 0.5 mi and on concrete path for 0.5. 7 – 10 yrs old will run on the grass. There will be an aid station equipped with water and Accelerade.

Directions:
From 75: Exit El Dorado and go West. Turn right onto Orchid Drive. Expo is 1 block down on right. Park near the playground and enter through that entrance.
From North Dallas Tollway: Take Hwy 121 East. Turn left on Custer. Turn right on El Dorado. Follow down to turn left on Orchid. Expo is 1 block down on right. Park near playground and enter through that entrance.
From 380 East: Turn right onto Stonebridge Drive. Turn left on El Dorado. Turn left onto Orchid Drive. Expo is 1 block down on right. Park near playtground entrance to enter.

USAT Membership |

The Kids Playtri Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event. All participants must be a current annual member of USAT or purchase an annual youth license for $5 at packet pick up. Do not send USAT permit fee with paper entry fee.
All established USAT rules will be in effect and will be strictly enforced. You must show your child’s USAT member card and your photo ID at packet pick up - no exceptions. Parents or legal guardians may pick up children’s packet. Child does not have to be with parent or legal guardian. If your child is an annual USAT member and you do not bring the member card to packet pick up, you must buy another $5 annual membership. No exceptions.

Weather / Water Temp |

Average temperature on race day: low 70 - high 85.
Water temperature could be wetsuit legal. USAT Wetsuit rules will apply – participants allowed to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
For safety reasons, Playtri reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.

Chip Timing by Run-Far |

This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. ALL TIMING CHIPS SHOULD BE RETURNED AFTER YOU CROSS THE FINISH LINE. A $30.00 fee will be charged to the participant if the timing chip is not returned. Awards are based on chip times.
