Sprint: 300 yard swim - 12.6 mile bike - 3.1 mile run

- The swim will be in a 25 yard indoor pool.
- Swim course is a snake swim - up and down the lane then under the lane rope
- The bike course is a great one loop course on country roads as well as newly paved roads with some rolling hills.
- The run course starts at McKinney High School & winds through a paved run trail, continuing through old McKinney, downtown square and ends at the high school.
- Aid stations will be located approximately every 1 mile. Each aid station is equipped with water.
The course officially closes at 11am for all participants.

FREE Pre Race Clinics
On each day the store hosting packet pick up will also be putting on a race clinic at at 6pm during the week (Mon-Fri). For the packet pick up on Saturday, the clinic will be at 10am. We will go over what to expect on race day, how to set up your transition and open it up for general questions anyone has.
Group Training Program for the Historic McKinney Kiwanis Sprint Triathlon
There will be an 8 week group training program for the Historic McKinney Kiwanis Sprint Triathlon starting February 1st. For more information on the the group training program click here.
Awards and Amenities
- Top Overall Masters and Grand Masters male and female.
- Age Group / Weight Class awards will be 3 deep for both Male and Female.
- Relay Team awards will be for top 3 overall relays. .
All Finishers will receive a Finisher Medal.

Many volunteers from numerous North Texas civic organizations are committed to make your race a safe and memorable experience.
Weather / Water Temp
Average temperature on race day: low 50 - high 80.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing by Run-Far
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. ALL TIMING CHIPS SHOULD BE RETURNED AFTER YOU CROSS THE FINISH LINE. A $30.00 fee will be charged to the participant if the timing chip is not returned. Awards are based on chip times.
