Course

Kids Age 7 – 10:  0.5 mile run – 2.5 mile bike – 0.5 mile run

Kids Age 11 – 14:  1 mile run – 5 mile bike (2 loop) – 1 mile run

Bike is on clean urban roads. The course is flat and fast.

The run course is fairly flat and fast. There will be an aid station on the run course equipped with water and Accelerade.

USAT Membership

The Kids Duathlon is a USAT sanctioned event. All youth participants must be a current annual member of USAT or purchase an annual membership for $5 at packet pick up. Do not send USAT permit fee with entry fee.

All established USAT rules will be in effect and will be strictly enforced. You must show your USAT member card and your photo ID at packet pick up - no exceptions. Friends and family will not be allowed to pick up anyone's packet. ****New USAT rules: If you are an annual USAT member and do not bring your member card to packet pick up, you must buy a $5 annual membership. There are no more duplicate applications.

 

 

Awards/Amenities

^

All racers who are registered by March 31st are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt and goodie bag when they pick up their packet. 

All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal when they cross the finish line.

 

 

Benefiting Charity

^

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Walk for Life.

Weather

^

Average temperature on race day: low 70 - high 85.

For safety reasons, Playtri reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.

 

 

Chip Timing by Run-Far

^

This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. ALL TIMING CHIPS SHOULD BE RETURNED AFTER YOU CROSS THE FINISH LINE. A $30.00 fee will be charged to the participant if the timing chip is not returned. Awards are based on chip times.
