Cinco de Mayo Run Safety Procedures
Face masks or coverings are strongly encouraged. Please bring a disposable mask; you will have an opportunity to dispose of it at the start line. Masks should be worn before the start and after finishing the race. Social distancing is strongly encouraged. Anyone is welcome to start your race in the back of the line, away from everyone else - this will not have a negative effect on your time.

VIRTUAL RACE
Can't come to the race but want to participate, get a t-shirt and a finisher medal?
Want to try a 5K but you're really shy to show up?
We have a race for you, VIRTUAL RACE!
A virtual race can be completed at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. This is a great way for the rookie runner to build up confidence to show up for the real thing!
Virtual races are a great way to stay fit, motivated, have the sense of participating and get a great t-shirt and medal!
You can complete the required distance in each discipline during the week coming up to the actual race, in your pace, in your environment.
You can send us your stats at virtual@playtri.com You can send the evidence of completing the race distances to virtual@playtri.com but it is not required. You can send a screenshot from an app, your watch, your laptop or even a photo of your treadmill results for your runs. You can use MayMyRun / MapMyRide, Strava, Garmin or any other digital fitness app.
Your t-shirt and finisher medal will be mailed to you the week after the race. Have fun out there!

Course notes:
Wheelchairs are welcome to compete in the 1M and we will have a hand cycle category for the 5K AND 10K race.
Eligibility - The minimum age to participate in the 10K is 9, for the 5K is 6 and no minimum age for the 1 mile.
The course officially closes at 10:30am for all participants.
Per USATF safety rules and insurance, no pets are allowed on the 5K/10K course. Strollers are allowed to be safely integrated into USATF sanctioned events.

*Athletes who register by April 8th are guaranteed a t-shirt of the desired/ ordered sizes. Our t-shirts order must be ordered on April 9th, your t-shirts must be printed and shipped. After we place our order to the printing company, we can only guess what sizes might runners sign up for. If you love fun race t-shirts - sign up before April 15th and have yours guaranteed!

Weather
Average temperature on race day: low 60 - high 80.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. We will be using disposable chips for this event that you will receive with your bib at packet pick up.
