Year 2001, Jenny delivered her 3rd child and within 12 weeks she joined a weight training group to get back into shape. Jenny was the typical mom who trained with a group for social and fitness enjoyment. In 2003, a friend asked her to join her at the Danskin Sprint Triathlon in Orlando at Disney World. She didn’t know a thing about triathlon or even how to swim free style swim stroke and only owned a trail bike. Intimidated by the thought of trying this out, Jenny proceeded to register for the race and borrowed a bike. After the race, Jenny hired a coach to teach her how to swim free style. From there, he trained her and taught her all about how to race triathlon. Within a year, Jenny began to make podium stands and winning races; even qualified for the National Age Group Championship multiple years in a row. After completing multiple half Ironman races and one full Ironman ranking in the top 20 in her age group in all of these races, Jenny was encouraged to become a coach and help others get healthy and fit. She led a team of women with USAT and created a group called Time 2 Tri which gave women a platform to start training for triathlon and competing in races. Her main passion with coaching is taking people from being spectators in sport to participants in sport, using triathlon as the tool for the journey to a better lifestyle. Another avenue Jenny has taken is in nutrition by educating and consulting athletes as well as non-athletes in becoming metabolically efficient in food choices.
