Playtri Personal Trainers Program

Beginning in April, 2017, the Playtri McKinney Store will be available for partnership with local personal trainers looking for a home space for training their clients, and finding new clientele.

The Playtri McKinney Store is fully outfitted for personal training, and we encourage potential trainers to visit our facility, or check out our photos on this page, to experience our over 4,000 square feet of training space and top-of-the-line equipment.

Position Requirements:

CPR/AED Certification

  • Must be kept current

Personal Training Certification from one of the following organizations:

  • ACE
  • ACSM
  • Cooper Insitiute
  • NASM
  • NCSF
  • NFPT
  • NSCA
  • ... All PT Certification MUST be kept current

Pay and Fees

For Clients Brought by Trainer:

  • $15/hour session, up to $300/month
  • Trainers will be required to keep a credit card on file so they can be auto-charged by Playtri staff at the beginning of each session

For Clients Brought by Playtri:

  • Playtri one-on-one coaching fees apply
  • Playtri keeps $30/athlete/one hour session
  • All transactions run through the Playtri POS
  • Personal trainers will receive a weekly report and check for all clients brought by Playtri

Tax Considerations

  • All trainers will be expected to operate as independent contractors under the Playtri umbrella
  • Playtri will be provided with a W9 tax document for any practicing personal trainer
  • Playtri will provide a 1099 tax document each year to personal trainers who have received checks for clients provided by Playtri

Personal Trainer Responsibilities

  •  Trainers are responsible for leaving the area exactly as they find it
  •  Cleaning supplies will be provided by Playtri for trainers to utilize at the end of each session

Client Interactions

  • Trainers are expected to maintain a positive interactions at all times when within the Playtri facility and when interacting with Playtri clients
  • Trainers may not promote competing gyms or programs when interacting with Playtri clients


  • Trainers are required to wear appropriate professional attire (clean exercise or business casual apparel in good condition) when training at Playtri
  • Closed-toe exercise shoes are required for all personal trainers when training at Playtri
  • Trainers may not wear attire advertising other gyms or competing programs when training at Playtri
