coach morgan davis

My name is Morgan Davis. I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC where I competed in swimming since the age of 8. I swam 4 years Division I at Virginia Tech as a sprint freestyler. I then ran track and field as my 5th year of edibility at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte while getting a Master’s Degree in Education.
I taught 4th and 5th grade for the past four years and while teaching I was still able to continue my true love of coaching. I coached summer league swim teams, swim camps, high school swim team and was the Co-founder for Chicks with Kicks (a running club for girls ages 8-10).
My personal accomplishments in triathlon include finishing in the top 5 in my age group in 8 half IRONMANs, I finished 6th at Ironman Louisville in 2013, won my age group at IRONMAN Florida 2015 qualifying for the 2016 IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, HI. I finished 30th in my age group at Worlds.
My goal is to help others balance their personal and professional lives while maintaining a healthy fulfilling life in the world of triathlon.

Passionate to enrich our youth’s self-efficacy Sally began volunteering with youth in Girls On The Run, a natural step after leading Girl Scouts and youth bible study. Sally became an athlete as an adult and her passion led her desire to share a healthy lifestyle with others. Critical to her fun and compassionate coaching style is that every athlete develop proper technique of each discipline safely and with a positive attitude. In her spare time, you will see Sally teaching any of her 6 grandchildren some aspect of the sport of triathlon, hiking in the mountains, or practicing yoga at the beach.
