Playtri Youth & Junior Camps

We love camps! They provide intensive learning opportunities, an opportunity to mix it up amidst day-to-day training, and a chance for athletes to meet and mingle with athletes from other teams, or even outside the sport. Our youth recreational tri camps are an AWESOME introduction to the sport for new athletes, and a fun reinforcer for current ones. Our high performance and draft-legal camps seek to bring some of the best coaches and athletes in the country together to raise the bar in both athlete knowledge and skills. Check out our current upcoming camps below.

UPCOMING CAMPS

Youth/Junior Elite Holiday Camp

Join the Playtri High Performance Team coaches and Team USA professional triathlete Erin Storie this December for four days of intensive training and education geared towards young triathletes ages 11-18 who are preparing for the 2019 ITU and USAT junior elite racing series. This is an opportunity for athletes to not only learn from experienced pro and ITU athletes and coaches, but also to experience the joy of training alongside like-minded athletes.

Allen Summer Swim Camp

The Summer Swim Camp is a 12 session program designed to introduce and refine the four swim strokes, with a heavy emphasis on freestyle development for triathlon.

Sessions will be primarily skill and drill focused, providing athletes an opportunity to focus on their technique foundation during a time in the season where team practices tend to be more fitness-driven. This camp is designed for ALL AGES AND ABILITIES. Athletes wishing to participate should be able to swim 100y of any stroke non-stop.

Junior Visiting Athlete Program

The Junior Visiting Athlete Program (JVAP) exists to provide out-of-town athletes ages 13 to 19 with an opportunity to experience the training and education that Playtri has to offer on a short-term basis. It is similar to a camp, but is tailored to the individual athlete, and can be implemented at any time.

The JVAP is overseen by a head coach during the athlete’s stay, and may be 3, 5 or 7 days long.

Currently we can accommodate the JVAP at our McKinney and Colony locations (North Texas area)
