Olympic Distance: swim 1500 meters – bike 22 miles (3 loops) – run 10K (4 loops)
Sprint Triathlon: swim 500 meters – bike 14 miles (2 loops) – run 5k (2 loops)
Super Sprint: swim 300 meters – bike 7 miles (1 loop) – run 1.5 miles (1 loop)

Course Notes: The swim is in a small, man-made lake. NO SWIMMING IN LAKE ALLOWED PRIOR TO RACE DAY!!
The bike is on nice concrete urban roads. The course is slightly hilly but fast. Each major intersection and turn around will be traffic controlled with directional assistance.
The course officially closes at 1pm for all participants.

- Open Wave is not eligible for Age Group awards and is intended for elite amateur athletes.
- Top Overall, Masters, and Grand Masters.
- Age Group / Weight Class awards will be 3 deep for both Male and Female.
- Relay Team awards will be for top 3 overall relays.
- Top 5 Overall Male/Female.
All Finishers will receive a Finisher Medal.

FREE PRE RACE CLINICS
The Free Pre Race clinic will be held on Saturday, April 30th at 10am at Playtri Cycling The Colony/Plano and Playtri Store Colleyville. We will go over what to expect on race day, setting up transition and any general questions.
Every participant must show photo ID and proof either of USAT annual membership, or purchase of USAT one day pass. If one of these is not provided at packet pickup, the participant will be required to purchase a one day pass or an annual membership in order to pick up his or her packet, regardless of whether or not he or she already has a membership. ($15 for adult one day, $50 for annual membership, and $10 for youth annual membership). Please click here for the Most Commonly Violated USAT rules.
All Relay team participants must check in at packet pickup individually (though team members do not all have to come at the same time). All team members must have their own USAT membership (whether annual or one day), and the last team member to check in will get the team’s official race numbers.
No Refunds or Transfers allowed.
Group Training Program for the Playtri Festival Triathlon
There will be an 8 week group training program for the Playtri Festival Sprint and Super Sprint Triathlon starting March 7th and a 12 week program for the Olympic distance starting February 8th. For more information on the the group training program click here.

Weather / Water Temp
Average temperature on race day: low 70 - high 85.

Water temperature will not be wetsuit legal. USAT Wetsuit rules will apply - participants are allowed to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing by Run-Far
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. ALL TIMING CHIPS SHOULD BE RETURNED AFTER YOU CROSS THE FINISH LINE. A $30.00 fee will be charged to the participant if the timing chip is not returned. Awards are based on chip times.
