If you're looking for a full-immersion training and education experience, look no further than Playtri Training Camps. Playtri Camps include intensive training sessions, educational lectures, and of course the camaraderie that comes along with long days of swimming, biking, and running together.
Playtri offers practical performance testing options at reasonable prices to determine heart rate zones, resting metabolic rate, and specific calorie burn on the bike and the run. Our testing will allow you to make specific and effective changes to your training and racing.
Swim Analysis / Swim Coaching
Triathlon swimming is different than pool swimming and that is why at Playtri we take a different approach. We use our 50+ years of skills and knowledge of pool and open water swimming to develop your swim abilities based on a Balance in the water approach. No matter what your ability, we can help you achieve your swim and triathlon goals. Fear of the water? We have drills you can use to help you. Want to go faster? We have drills that can help you do that. Feeling like you are extremely tired when you get out of the swim or feel like you are swimming in place? We have drills to help you with that. Our coaches use a Balance approach to help you improve your swim and work on your specific needs whether that be fear, endurance or speed.
One on One Sessions
Whether you are new to triathlon or looking to fine-tune technique for effective gains, our one-on-one sessions will allow you to address specific challenges in the swim, bike and run, as well as incorporate functional strength training as an effective part of your training plan.
Stackle Swim Technique - Swim Coaching and Swim Analysis
Kirk Stackle grew up in San Diego. After excelling in age group swimming he headed to Austin, Texas to swim for Eddie Reese and Kris Kubik at the University of Texas. Under the program, Kirk enjoyed great success winning 3 team and 3 individual national championships, becoming a 16 time All American and achieving a berth on the 1988 Olympic team in the 200 breaststroke. In 1990, Kirk held his highest ranking as second in the world in the 200 breaststroke and third in the world in the 100 breaststroke after an outstanding Goodwill Games showing.
Stackle Swim Technique and Training is available for – age group, college, masters and professional swimmers, triathletes, CrossFit athletes and anyone else looking to improve their technique and/or safety in the water.
