On Friday, March 13th shortly before noon, we were notified by Lewisville ISD that the district would be shut down on Sunday, the race day, and therefore we would not be able to hold the Luck of the Irish event.
All athletes have the option to switch to the Take on the Heat Triathlon or compete in the Luck of the Irish Virtual Race. If you choose to race the Virtual Race, please see the email sent our earlier for instructions how to post your results on Facebook or email your results to Virtual@Playtri.com . If you do not want to race the Virtual event, you will automatically be transferred to Take on the Heat on July 12th (same venue, same course, same distances).

How to post your virtual results:
1 - Write your first and last name, the virtual race you are competing in (TRI, RBR or 5K) and your total finish time.
2 - Add to the post pictures of your watch, Garmin, bike computer etc. showing your time/distance for each leg of the race you are competing. Transition times do not count into your overall completion times. (You can complete each leg of the race on a different day, if you like)
3 - Feel free to add in some race/workout pics and let us see you sweat!

Finisher Medals: We will put your finisher medal in the mail within 1-3 days of your post. ***Be sure to post a pic with your finisher medal when you get it.
Awards: We will follow the award categories as outlined in the original Luck of the Irish Event. Awards will be announced on Saturday March 28th.

USAT
Every participant must show photo ID and proof either of USAT annual membership, or purchase of USAT one day pass. If one of these is not provided at packet pickup, the participant will be required to purchase a one day pass or an annual membership in order to pick up his or her packet, regardless of whether or not he or she already has a membership ($15 for adult one day, $50 for annual membership, and $10 for youth annual membership). Weather
Average temperature on race day: low 50 - high 75.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. We will be using disposable chips for this event that you will receive with your bib at packet pick up.
