Competitive Cheetahs: 100 yd swim - 2 mile bike – 0.5 mile run
11-15 years
Recreational Hustlers: 200 yd swim – 4 mile bike – 1mile run
Competitive Thunders: 200 yd swim – 4 mile bike – 1mile run
All finishers will receive a FINISHER MEDAL!
Competitive category (experienced racers/team athletes/racing to improve time or place).
Finisher medals and podium awards will be given.
Recreational category (kids new to the sport, racing casually).
Finisher medals only, no podium awards will be given.

Packet Pickup Dates & Locations
A Youth athlete without an ID must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID. If an athlete does not bring a photo ID to packet pickup, there are two options: 1 Go home to get it. 2 Have someone email/text them a copy of their photo ID.
USA Triathlon is allowing athletes to pick up race packets for other individuals.
One person may pick up up to 4 packets at one time to ensure fairness to other standing in line. Should one person be picking up more than the mentioned 4 packets, he or she is welcome to join the packet pickup line again as if they just entered the location.

Body Marking
Athletes are welcome to: arrive at the race self body marked, (sharpies or marks-a-lot work well)
or self body mark at the event prior to entering the transition area (a table with markers will be provided),
or wait to be body marked by volunteers prior to entering the transition area.

**Cheetahs: 6-10 years **
Top boy and girl winner. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group: 6-7, 8-10
**Thunders: 11-15 years **
Top boy and girl winner. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group: 11-12, 13-15
All finishers will receive a FINISHER MEDAL!
Race Timing
The COMPETITIVE CATEGORY will be timed.
The RECREATIONAL CATEGORY will not be timed.
For TIMED category: Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. Awards are based on chip times.

USAT “RACE AGE” POLICY
An athlete's age for any USAT sanctioned race will be his/her age as of Dec. 31 of the current race year. The age he/she is on 12/31 will determine his/her racing age group. If an athlete is due to "age-up" into the next group, it will happen at the beginning of the year, not after the athlete's birthday.
This action aligns regular U.S. age group racing with the method used by USA Triathlon for its National Rankings Program and its Grand Prix Series

Refunds
No Refunds or transfers allowed.
This event follows the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice.
A considerable amount of work and planning goes into planning events like this one and we do so with the best intentions. Refunding entry fees based on changes of participants schedules is not feasible as permits and basic provisions must be ordered ahead of time. We appreciate your support and understanding, and we will continue to work hard to produce fun and safe events for your best experience.
